Nancy O'Dell's first job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police regarding DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. After her time in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. Additionally, she is a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has co-hosted a variety of pre-shows and arrivals shows for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. She also co-hosted The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
